Sunnyside Bungalow

This is my and my partner’s 1923 bungalow nestled in Southeast Portland. We are just the fourth owners of this house and have needed to make only minor adjustments to make our own. We fell quickly for the house and it’s many original details: wood sash windows, built-in curios, coved plaster ceilings, and glass doorknobs. Since taking ownership of the home, we have painted walls, replaced lighting and cabinet hardware, and filled the walls and cabinets with our things. While maintaining many of the established ornamental plants in the yard, I have also relocated flagstones, removed lawn, and planted many native and climate-adapted plants to the yard.
